These Terms of Use govern your use of Prompty for Web and related Obex Labs services described on this website (together, the “Services”), operated by Obex Labs (“we”, “us”, “our”). By installing or using Prompty for Web, or by using this website, you agree to these terms.

Paid Pro and Enterprise offerings, when made available, may be governed by a separate order form, licence agreement, or DPA. If those documents conflict with these terms for a paid deployment, the paid agreement controls for that deployment.

1. Permitted use

Prompty for Web helps individuals and organisations reduce the chance that sensitive information is submitted to AI assistants. You may use the Services for lawful purposes only. You must not:

• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the extension, desktop software, or rule bundles, except where applicable law allows;
• Use the Services to circumvent or disable privacy or security controls;
• Misrepresent detection results to others;
• Abuse our policy, telemetry, feedback, or licensing endpoints (including scraping, flooding, or circumventing rate limits).

2. Availability and plans

The consumer Prompty for Web extension is currently offered free of charge via supported browser stores. We may introduce paid Pro or Enterprise plans, modify features, or discontinue parts of the Services with reasonable notice where practicable. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

3. No warranty

The Services are provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Detection is not infallible. You remain responsible for the information you choose to share with any third-party AI service and for complying with your employer’s policies where applicable.

4. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Obex Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Services. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).

5. Intellectual property

Prompty for Web, related software, branding, and associated content are the intellectual property of Obex Labs or its licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the software you are authorised to install, in accordance with these terms and any applicable store or enterprise licence.

6. Privacy

Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the revised version here with an updated “Last updated” date and, for material changes affecting the extension, note them in extension update notes where practicable. If you do not agree to the revised terms, stop using the Services and uninstall the software.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Services are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
